Rubelli
A silk lampas with large vegetable and flower shapes traced by a metallic yarn weave. In line with the typical decoration of the late Baroque period in which sizeable floral and vegetable elements were arranged with skilful mastery, this lampas has an elegant and elaborate swathe of flowers and leaves on a luminous silk satin ground. The sensual richness of the shapes and the precious materials dominate the ornamentation in a continuous dialogue with the matching colours of the ground.
